NPAN Announcement: |
Alliance for Justice is pleased to announce the release of Resources for
Evaluating Community Organizing—RECO!
In response to the user-friendly Alliance for Justice tools
for evaluating advocacy work, we consistently receive requests for
additional information to evaluate the effectiveness of community organizing, taking
in to consideration the diverse gamut of organizing styles and techniques.
RECO, our newly compiled FREE web-based resources, allows users to
find case studies, tools and methodologies, and theoretical approaches to
evaluation of community organizing that best fit their needs. Many of the
resources we have included (with detailed summaries of each) are broadly
available to the public, either through free downloads from the organization's
website, or through an e-mail request. We have also included books and
other publications that are available for purchase*.
We interviewed 27 leading community organizers, evaluators, and
funders to develop RECO. Our goal in compiling this listing of resources
was not to rate or rank them, but rather to create a living library with the
potential for future expansion.
We invite you to share stories of how you have utilized specific
resources and offer your feedback on their usefulness. We also invite you
to contribute names and descriptions of additional resources, and to comment on
their usefulness so that we might incorporate feedback into RECO.
For more information, please e-mail [email protected], or call 202-822-6070.
